CURRENT ISSUES IN STATISTICAL SHAPE ANALYSIS International Conference run by Statistics Department, University of Leeds, UK, (incorporating 15th Leeds Statistics Research Workshop and CoMIR) April 5-7, 1995 Statistical shape analysis considers the study of geometrical objects where translation, rotation and possibly scale information can typically be ignored. The subject has received a great deal of recent attention, following the pioneering work of D.G. Kendall and F.L. Bookstein in the late 1970s/early 1980s. Although the methodology is being widely applied there are many key issues that need to be resolved. The conference aims to bring together workers in the field, to discuss both theoretical and practical issues.
