Greetings from the ICASSP-96 Technical Committee,
Listed below you will find an ICASSP-96 Update.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

    1)  The April 19th deadline to register for one of the ICASSP-96 tours
        is close upon us.  Although it may be possible to sign up for a tour
        after arriving in Atlanta, a space cannot be guaranteed.  So, if
        you plan on attending one of these tours, please make sure that you
        fill out the Tour Registration form, which may be found in the
        Conference Program or on the WWW at

    2)  In case you missed the last update, we are pleased to announce that
        The Mathworks will again be providing internet services to conference
        attendees.

    3)  TI Design Contest.  On Wednesday morning, from 10:00-12:00am in the
        Picard-Chablis room, Texas Instruments will have the 3 Finalists in
        the Texas Instruments Design Competition demonstrating their entries.
        The judges who will be evaluating these entries, will select the
        winner and announce their decision at about 12:45pm.  The prize?

                        $100,000.00


    4)  There are still plenty of rooms at the Marriott Marquis that are
        being held for ICASSP-96 attendees.  However, rooms that have not
        been reserved by APRIL 15 will be RELEASED.  After that, we cannot
        guarantee that a room will be available when you try to make a
        reservation.

        Therefore, if you want to stay in the conference hotel, we encourage
        you to make your reservations very soon.
