These symposia have a single session format so that all the attendees remain in a single room for multilateral communications in an informal atmosphere. As another tradition, the meetings have enthusiastic participation from industry as well as universities. The topics cover Sensing ( Vision, Millimeter Radar, Laser Radar, etc. ) Control ( Neural Nets, Fuzzy Logic, etc. ) Communication, Real-Time Traffic Control, Navigation Automated Highway Systems, Intelligent Traffic Systems Advanced Electronics for Vehicles and other related issues. Please send three copies of an one-page abstract to Ichiro Masaki whose address is included below. The deadline for the abstracts is March 31, 1996. Demos of test vehicles of Japanese major automobile companies are scheduled for September 18. September 19 and 20 are reserved for paper presentations and discussions.
