2nd Erlangen Symposium
ADVANCES IN DIGITAL IMAGE COMMUNICATION

Following the successful 1st Erlangen Symposium in June 1995, the 2nd
Erlangen Symposium will again be held at the Telecommunications Institute
of University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. The Symposium will feature:
- Invited lectures by internationally renowned speakers
(Prof. Robert M. Gray, Prof. A. Murat Tekalp, Dr. Ralf Schaefer)
- Contributed talks by international scientists
- Conference proceedings
- Demonstrations of ongoing work in the Image Communication Group
of the Telecommunications Institute (Prof. Bernd Girod)
- Banquet at historic Atzelsberg Castle
LOCATION
The symposium site is a convenient taxi-drive from Nuremberg Airport with
direct flights to major European cities. By train or car, Erlangen is less
than 2 hours from Munich, the site of ICASSP-97. The 2nd Erlangen Symposium
will take place on the day right after ICASSP-97.
REGISTRATION
The registration fee ranges from 280.- to 450.- DM and includes
proceedings, coffe/lunch, and the banquet at Atzelsberg Castle. Reduced
fees are offered for authors, IEEE members, and members of non-profit
organisations, as well as for advance registration BEFORE FEB. 15, 1997.
On-site registration will also be possible in the morning.
