============================================================================ C A L L F O R P A R T I C I P A T I O N 2nd Erlangen Symposium ADVANCES IN DIGITAL IMAGE COMMUNICATION APRIL 25, 1997 Telecommunications Institute University of Erlangen-Nuremberg Erlangen, Germany Following the successful 1st Erlangen Symposium in June 1995, the 2nd Erlangen Symposium will again be held at the Telecommunications Institute of University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. The Symposium will feature: - Invited lectures by internationally renowned speakers (Prof. Robert M. Gray, Prof. A. Murat Tekalp, Dr. Ralf Schaefer) - Contributed talks by international scientists - Conference proceedings - Demonstrations of ongoing work in the Image Communication Group of the Telecommunications Institute (Prof. Bernd Girod) - Banquet at historic Atzelsberg Castle LOCATION The symposium site is a convenient taxi-drive from Nuremberg Airport with direct flights to major European cities. By train or car, Erlangen is less than 2 hours from Munich, the site of ICASSP-97. The 2nd Erlangen Symposium will take place on the day right after ICASSP-97. REGISTRATION The registration fee ranges from 280.- to 450.- DM and includes proceedings, coffe/lunch, and the banquet at Atzelsberg Castle. Reduced fees are offered for authors, IEEE members, and members of non-profit organisations, as well as for advance registration BEFORE FEB. 15, 1997.
