CVPR'98 HOUSING INFORMATION

On campus options

UCSB residence halls and dining facilities are located within a 5-10 minute
walk from the session meeting rooms (University Center) and from the beach.
Residence hall accommodations are either single or double occupancy, with
single rooms reserved on a first request basis. Lodging includes beds made
on arrival day and daily room service with washcloth and towel change.
Restroom and shower facilities are located on each floor. A computer lab
is also available in the residence hall so that you can access your e-mail.
A limited number of off-campus (20 minute walk) student apartments are
available for occupancy by families with children (two bedrooms, four single
beds). They are furnished and, while perfectly adequate, are not maintained
to hotel standards as they are student occupied nine months out of the
year. These apartments do not include meals or parking. Meals can be
purchased at the Dining Commons. The cost per week is $439.

Off campus options
------------------
Blocks of rooms have been reserved, at special conference rates, at the
hotels listed below. We encourage you to make your reservations as soon as
possible. Another large conference will be held in Santa Barbara at the same
time as CVPR and rooms will be released 30 days prior to the conference.
You must identify yourself as a CVPR conference attendee to receive the
special conference rate. Please note that rates listed are for Sunday
through Thursday evenings and do not include a 10% tax; weekend rates will
be higher.
Bus services will be provided to and from campus from the following two
hotels in Goleta ONLY. Please indicate on your registration form if you will
be requiring this service.
