               Papers are invited for,  but not limited to the following areas:
 
               I. Algorithms:
 
               I.1: Image enhancement, segmentation, filtering, restoration,
                    texture, analysis, understanding, compression, color image
                    processing, etc.
 
               I.2: Feature Extraction, Feature Selection,  statistical approach,
                    syntactic approach, clustering, etc.  
 
 
               I.3: Motion, Stereo vision, physics-based vision, CAD-based
                    vision, target/object recognition, etc.
 
               I.4: Fuzzy Logic, Neural Network, Genetic Algorithm, Wavelet, 
                    Fractal, Morphology  to  CVPRIP.
 
 
               II. Architectures:
 
                   VLSI and  application-driven architectures for CVPRIP.
 
               III. Applications:
 
                    Applying CPPRIP to medical science, industry, finance, 
                    environment, agriculture, transportation, etc.
                      
 
Authors  should submit a summary for each paper.  The summary shall not exceed
4 pages of 10 point font, double-column, single spaced text with figures, 
tables and references.   Otherwise,  additional page charge will be imposed.
 
In addition to the summary, authors should provide a cover page to indicate:
          1. CVPRIP'98
          2. Area (see the detail from the web site)
          3. Originality
          4. Contact Author (Name, Address, Telephone, Fax and E-mail)
 
 
CVPRIP'98 also solicits tutorial proposals for the related fields.  
The proposal should consist of:
 
          1. A   cover page (Name, Address, Telephone, Fax, and E-mail),
          2. Abstract should not exceed 500 words
          3. Supporting materials (outline of the content, objectives,
             audience,  and a bio with  no more than 3 pages)

Authors will be notified of acceptance or rejection of their submissions
by Aug. 1, 1998.
Accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings. 
Camera-ready paper due is Sept. 10, 1998.
 
 
 Selected papers will be published in Information Sciences, An
 International Journal.
  
 Best paper will be decided by the Best Paper Selection Committee.
              
               
Special Event: Dr. Lotfi A. Zadeh and  Dr. Azriel Rosenfeld  will receive
the Information Science Award for their pioneer works, and their
foundmental and influential contributions to the related fields.

Aug. 1, 1998: Letter of acceptance/rejection to authors.
 
Aug. 23, 1998: US$160 check deposit.
 
Sept. 10, 1998:  Camera-ready summary papers due.
 
 
For TUTORIAL PROPOSALS:
 
May 1, 1998: tutorial proposal due.
 
June 29, 1998: Notification of decision and tutorials announcement
 
Sept. 4, 1998: Camera-ready copy of the tutorial material.
