The course will spread over five days and will include formal lectures 
complemented by `hands-on' sessions and visits to research or industrial 
laboratories. Social events will also be arranged in conjunction with the 
course, including a welcome reception and the Course Dinner. All attendees 
will be given a comprehensive set of lecture notes.


WHO SHOULD ATTEND

This course will be of interest to engineers, software developers, system
developers, and research scientists involved in research and development on
image/video processing and analysis and on multimedia environments.
Application areas may be as diverse as digital television, multimedia
archives management, industrial imaging, surveillance, integration of audio
and video information, human perception. A basic knowledge of standard image
processing techniques would be an advantage.
