CALL FOR PAPERS : WACV '98 Fourth IEEE Workshop on Applications of Computer Vision October 19-21st 1998 Princeton, New Jersey, USA http://www.sarnoff.com/conferences/WACV98/callforpapers.htm This workshop will provide an international forum for industrial, academic, and government researchers to present and discuss the application of computer vision to various problem domains of practical significance. Papers will be organized in a single track. In addition, the workshop will feature demonstrations sessions, video sessions and panel discussions. There will also be a half day tour of the local laboratories in the Princeton area (Siemens, NEC, Sarnoff etc.) where vision related demonstrations will be shown to the conference participants. Viola (MIT) SUBMISSIONS: Four copies of complete manuscripts should be received by April 7, 1998, for review by the program committee. Emphasis should be on novel technical approaches and/or performance evaluation for a given task. Papers (in English) should be submitted in FINAL CAMERA-READY FORMAT with 2 columns on standard (8.5"x11" or A4) pages. Columns should be separated by 5/16" spacing, and should be 3.25" in width and 9" in length. Text should be 10-point type, Times Roman font (or similar). A maximum of 7 pages are permitted for each submission, including references and illustrations. The title, names of authors, affiliations, and e-mail addresses should appear centered near the top of the first page. The authors are also encouraged to send a video demo, or propose a web site for live demos of their work. This additional information would be taken into account by the program committee. In addition to the manuscript, each submission should contain a summary page that answers the following questions separately: (1) What is the application area of the work reported in this paper? (2) How far has this work progressed to date? (3) What is the primary significance of this work? (4) What is the major new contribution of this work ? (5) How is this paper related to previously published work?
