CALL FOR PAPERS
The CAIP conference is a traditional Central European Conference
devoted to all aspects of computer vision, image analysis, pattern
recognition and related fields.
The conference is sponsored by IAPR, Slovenian Pattern Recognition
Society and IEEE Slovenia Section.
The scientific program of the conference will consist of plenary
lectures by invited speakers, contributed papers presented in two
parallel sessions and posters. The CAIP proceedings are published
by Springer Verlag in the series Lecture Notes on Computer Science
and will be distributed to the participants at the conference.

INSTRUCTIONS TO AUTHORS
Authors who wish to present a paper at the conference should
send five copies of their paper to one of the two conference
chairs marked CAIP'99. To enable double blind review there
should be two title pages. The first with title, author's name,
affiliation and address, telephone, fax and e-mail, abstract of
200 words and up to three keywords. The second title page should
consist only of title, abstract and keywords. The papers excluding
the title pages should not be longer than 10 pages.
A LaTeX template for the camera-ready version will be available
on the conference home page.
TIME SCHEDULE:
Deadline for submission of papers: 15 January 1999
Notification of acceptance: April 1999
VENUE
The conference will be held at the Faculty of Computer and Information
Science at the University of Ljubljana. Ljubljana is the capital of
Slovenia. The city which is a lively mixture of Mediterranean and
northern influences offers all amenities within short distance. Alpine
resorts, the Adriatic coast and several spas are close to Ljubljana.
