MOTIVATION AND SCOPE OF THE NATO ARW

The motivation for this three-day workshop comes from the realization
of the recent synergistic trends in Visual Sciences and Computer and
 Communication technologies.

This NATO ARW aims to bring together the scientists and technologists
from the fields of Computer Vision, Computer Graphics, and Multimedia
Communication, who work on the problems which require integration of
knowledge and methods from the respective fields (e.g., building
realistic models of objects and environments, augmented reality,
interactive computer graphics, virtual studios, etc.), to critically
review the current state of the art and to propose further steps for
advancement and integration of these fields.

The results of the Advanced Research Workshop will be published in the
form of a book in the NATO ASI Series.

Participation in the Advanced Research Workshop will be by invitation
only. Participants should be from NATO, NATO Partner, and Mediterranean
