This is a call for computer vision and pattern recognition
demonstrations at the upcoming 1999 IEEE Computer Society Conference on
Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition. See the CVPR web page at
 http://www.cs.colostate.edu/~cvpr99/index.html for complete details.

 PURPOSE

CVPR's demonstration session is an opportunity for members of the vision
and pattern recognition research communities to present and exchange
ideas in an interactive way. A key feature of this session is the
on-going live demonstrations given by its participants. These
demonstrations present all or part of a working system developed for
 Vision and Pattern Recognition tasks.
This session, like the sessions at previous CVPR conferences, runs in an
open-house fashion. This encourages conference attendees to ask
questions and become part of the demonstration itself.
This year we would also like to provide an additional video
demonstration library. The conference attendees can go through the
catalogue and choose the video demonstration they are interested in.
They can watch these video demonstrations at any time during the
 conference period.

 PROPOSAL GUIDELINES

The following describes the submission process for the CVPR
demonstration session. We encourage both Industry and Academic
organizations to participate in this session.
If accepted, you will need to bring a poster for use in the session. You
are also encouraged to bring along a video demonstration for
incorporation into a library. The conference attendees will have
permanent access to this video demonstration library. In terms of
equipment, CVPR will provide you with a space, tables, chairs, easel for
poster, power cords, and TV/VCRs. For those people who are reluctant to
ship monitors, we are willing to entertain providing monitors by special
arrangement. Contact Bruce Draper for special arrangements. We do
encourage participants to bring as much of their own equipment as
 possible.
You are to submit a description via email to the CVPR demo session chair
by the published deadline. If your proposal is accepted, we reserve the
right to publish your description on our web-page and in a handout to be
distributed at the conference. The description should be in simple raw
text and must include the following information:
    - Title of Demonstration
    - Name of Organization, Address of Organization
    - List of Participants, Indicate Main Contact Person and Phone, Email,
      Fax
    - One-page Description of Demonstration
    - List of papers published (if available) on the demonstrated system
    - Equipment you will bring with you
    - Equipment you are asking CVPR to try to provide (see above)
    - Average Time to Run a Demonstration.

 DATES
    Submission Deadline: April 15, 1999
Notification of Acceptance: By May 15, 1999
If space becomes limited, proposals submitted earlier will be given
    preference.
