This is a call for papers for the
Second IEEE Computer Society
Workshop on Perceptual Organization in Computer Vision,
Assessing the state of the community and charting new research directions
Sept 20 and 21, 1999 (pre ICCV'99),
Corfu, Greece
HIGHLIGHTS:
Format: 6 invited papers assessing the state of art in the community
12 short papers on current work
Discussion and breakout sessions
Funding: There is a distinct POSSIBILITY that each short paper
presenter will receive $1000 in support. Stay tuned.

Topics on which submissions would be welcomed include, but are by no
means limited to:
Perceptual organization of photometric primitives in 2D and 3D
Perceptual organization of motion sequences
Algorithms and methodologies

Performance comparisons, evaluations, or measures
Applications of perceptual organization in vision systems
Use of context and domain knowledge
Role of learning in perceptual organization.

Each submission should have a cover page which includes the address,
phone number, fax number, and e-mail address of the corresponding
author. Papers are limited to 20 double-spaced pages (12 pt, 1 inch
margins), including figures, references, etc.
We are finalizing the contract to publish the papers presented
and the breakout session discussions at the workshop as an edited book
to appear after the workshp. All attendees will receive a copy of the book,
which is included in the registration.
