                               CALL FOR PAPERS

Many application domains exist which may benefit from the possibility to
automatically detect, analyse or recognize humans on the basis of
biometric
measurements.

On the other hand, the advances in computer vision, image processing and
communication science brought to the attention the feasibility of
processing
and extracting useful informations from multi-sensory data associated
with
individuals.
This workshop will bring together researchers in different application
domains on biometric techniques for authentication in an attempt to
contribute to robust solutions for the many challenging problems related
to
this area. Moreover, this workshop will try to identify trends for
future
developments and the means for implementing applications based on
biometric
systems.

The workshop will consist of one day of technical presentations, with
approximately 4 invited presentations and 16-20 orally presented papers
(approximately 25 minutes).

Topics include but are not limited to:

     [o] Face/Fingerprint/Hand/Iris/and any other biometric-based
authentication
     [o] Invariant measures for authentication
[o] Features detection and representation for authentication
     [o] Multi-modal and multi-expert techniques
     [o] Psychophysics of human authentication
     [o] Applications and new challenges
