                         Colour in Computer Vision:
                             12th January 2000

                     British Institute of Radiology,
                       36 Portland Place, London

On the 12th of January 2000, the Colour Group of Great Britain, British
Machine Vision Association and the Institute of Electrical Engineers are
jointly organising a 1 day symposium on colour in computer vision. The
symposium will include presentations on some of the key areas of colour
research in computer vision, including, colour calibration, colour
constancy, image retrieval and colour texture. All presentations will
be delivered by acknowledged experts in the field. The speaker program
 is included below.

This meeting is free to members of the Colour Group of Great Britain,
BMVA or IEE. The cost for non-members is £20 pounds. All attendees are
asked to preregister for the symposium by returning (by E- or
conventional mail) the registration form included at the end of this
notice. It is important that you make clear which organization you are a
member of, or alternately, that you will be registering as a non-member.

Lunch can be bought on the day of the symposium for a cost of £4.
However, we point out that the BIR has limited capacity and lunch will
be supplied on a first come first serve basis.

                         CALL FOR POSTERS

As part of the symposium we are also organizing a poster session. The
poster session is open to all. If you are interested in submitting a
poster then please write a 1 page abstract (approx 200 words) and send
it by Email to: graham@sys.uea.ac.uk. Submissions must arrive by 1st
 December 1999.

All abstracts will be reviewed by the organizing committee. Authors
will be notified about acceptance by December 10th.
