CALL FOR PAPERS THE 4TH WORLD MULTICONFERENCE ON SYSTEMICS, CYBERNETICS AND INFORMATICS SCI'2000 SPECIAL SESSION ON GEOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION PROCESSING AND REMOTE SENSING July, 23-26, 2000 Orlando, Florida(USA) Sheraton World The Special Session on Geographical Information Processing and Remote Sensing will be organized as part of the multiconference. The objective of this special session is to bring together researchers from universities and industry, and to discuss topics relevant to academic and industrial research and development. A general call for papers for SCI'2000 is attached. Topics of the special session (include, but are not limited to) - feature extraction and selection - remote sensing images enhancement - classification and segmentation - object and change detection - sensor and knowledge fusion - spatial reasoning and image understanding - content based image description and retrieval - scene modeling and reconstruction - integration of remote sensing data into GIS - specific remote sensing techniques - applications in mapping, natural resources and disaster monitoring, surveillance, etc. PAPER SUBMISSION You are invited to contribute in the form of extended abstracts and/or paper drafts, in English. The submissions must contain sufficient content for peer review and should indicate a relation to the special theme of the Session on Geographical Information Processing and Remote Sensing. EXTENDED ABSTRACTS AND PAPER DRAFTS SUBMISSION FORM Extended abstracts or paper drafts should be sent according the following format: 1. Major theme of the paper, according to the major themes given above. 2. Paper title. 3. Extended abstract of 500 to 1500 words and/or paper drafts of 2000 to 5000 words, in English. 4. Author or co-authors with names, addresses, telephone number, fax number and e-mail address. Preferred electronic formats for submissions are either ASCII (especially for extended abstracts), Postscript, PDF or RTF.
