                             INTRODUCTION
The Sixth International Conference on Computer Graphics and Image Processing
(GKPO'2000), devoted to recent achievements in these areas, will take place
in Podlesice, Poland, 15-19 May 2000.

The Conference consists of 7 invited lectures (one hour each), 43
contribution
presentations (20 minutes each on a podium or as a poster), panel discussion
on
"Thinking with diagrams", computer arts presentation and exhibition,
presentation of recent experimental results (as in an open session) and
editorial
exhibition. These presentations may be accompanied by short videos and
computer
demonstrations. Registration to them will be also possible during the
Conference.

The Conference will be held at the hotel OSTANIEC situated in the midst of
rocky
Cracow-Czestochowa Jura - one of the most wonderful and interesting
touristic
regions of Poland, about 220 km south-west of Warsaw, 50 km east from
Czestochowa,
and 80 km from Katowice - which have regular bus and railway connections
with
Warsaw.
