Workshop on

Multi/Hyperspectral
Sensors, Measurements, Modeling and Simulation

November 7-9, 2000

CALL FOR
PAPERS

Rocket Auditorium
Redstone Arsenal, AL

OBJECTIVE:

The objective of this workshop is to review research progress in
Multi/Hyperspectral Sensor Measurements, Modeling and Simulation including
spectral background scenes, calibration and validation processes,
algorithm development, and performance metrics for potential technology
insertion in current tactical and strategic weapon systems as well as
other defense related systems. A second objective is to identify research
and technology gaps in the technology that must be filled to achieve DOD
program objectives.

POTENTIAL TOPICS:
* Automatic Target Detection / Recognition
*     Atmospheric Correction / Radiometric
   Calibration
*     Counter Camouflage, Concealment &
    Deception
*     Drug Detection
*     Earth Remote Sensing
*     Mine Detection
*     Spectro-polarimetric Sensing and Processing
*     Spectral Matching Techniques
* Spectral Unmixing / Subpixel Analysis

ATTENDANCE:

The Workshop is open to industry, academia, and government.

One session of the workshop may be classified SECRET. Further information
will be available regarding this issue. The remainder of this workshop
will be UNCLASSIFIED. However, attendance is restricted.

2345 may contact the Defense Logistics Services Center (DLSC) at
1-800-352-3572 for assistance. ABSTRACTS:

Prospective speakers must submit UNCLASSIFIED abstracts of approximately
300 words. Abstracts must include the title, author(s), complete return
address, telephone number, fax number, and e-mail address. Authors should
state potential applications, if applicable, and indicate which of the
topic areas listed categorize their abstracts.

The abstracts must be received no later than July 17, 2000. Authors will
be notified of paper acceptance no later than August 20, 2000. A final
paper must be provided for inclusion into the final proceedings no later
than October 16, 2000.
