IEE Colloquium Call for Papers SECURE IMAGES AND IMAGE AUTHENTICATION Organised by IEE Professional Group: E4 Image Processing and Vision Date: 10 April 2000 Venue: IEE Savoy Place, London, UK Call for Papers Image security is becoming an increasingly important issue within image communication, for copyright protection, protection against deliberate or accidental damage to the image, and sensitive and confidential image transmission. The increase in internet imaging and digital TV broadcasting/distribution makes image security a key topic for enabling future image applications. This colloquium aims to : - discuss the issue of secure image communication, image protection, and image authentication - enable participants to view presentations and demonstrations of existing image security solutions, - and provide a forum for presentation of new research and development efforts in the area of secure imaging and image authentication. Contributions are invited within the following areas and related topics: * copyright protection of images and video * protection against accidental and deliberate damage to images * copyright protection and audit trails for images and video which may be distributed via the internet, CD, disk, broadcast, satellite links, TV contribution links etc * tamper-protection for images used for evidential purposes * protection of images used for medical diagnoses and medical records * copyright and tamper protection for images stored in shared databases e.g. museums * protection of images stored for other use e.g. road-traffic sequences, traffic light cameras etc * integration of image security systems with encryption and auditing systems * embedding of information in images and video for data monitoring purposes Contributions may be in the form of oral presentations, posters, and/or demonstrations.
