DAGM 2001
23rd symposium for pattern recognition
The German working group for pattern recognition (DAGM e.V.) manifests
from 12th until 14th September 2001 in Munich the 23rd symposium for
pattern recognition. It is a panel for presentation and discussion of
outstanding , newer and interesting works on the field of pattern
recognition. The long tradition of the congress warranted a
acknowledged and able panel for presentation of technological and
important newer research results. 

The congress topics are:
Image recognition & image understanding; speech analysis and speech
understanding; sensor fusion; image sequence analysis ; 3D- gathering
- visualization; classification; active vision; Applications;
medicine, bioinformatics; 

Additional emphases of 23rd Munich symposium are:

Interaction virtual with real worlds, man-machine-interaction,
real-time and 3D-reconstruction. 
As add on program on the congress is planed:
Tutorials, Workshops
exhibition from firms and institutions.

The program committee places with
Olympus price for outstanding works on field of pattern recognition
(DEM 10.000) and DAGM-prices  for outstanding congress contributions
once DEM 5.000 and five times DEM 1.000

Publication:

The accepted contributions will be published by Springer in the series
„Informatik aktuell“ under the title „Mustererkennung
2001“. The  congress volume will be a CD attached, on which the
particular contributions are represented more detailed and can be
completed with additional files for video- and speech demonstration.

The congress language is German; Articles can be submitted and
declaimed in German or English. About form and extent of the papers as
