Graphics recognition is a branch of document image analysis that focuses on
the recognition of diagram notations, including engineering drawings, maps,
mathematical notation, music notation, tables, and chemical structure
diagrams.

There is great demand for automatic conversion between paper and electronic
forms of documents. Graphics recognition is an essential component of this
conversion.

     industry and academia.

   - Researchers in a variety of disciplines are invited to participate.

   - GREC workshops are published in Springer's Lecture Notes in Computer
Science (previous workshops in Volumes 1072, 1389, 1941).
