Call For Papers: 
Statistics of Shapes and Textures 
Special Issue of JMIV 

Papers are invited for a special issue of Journal of Mathematical 
Imaging and Vision, Kluwer Academic Publishers in the area of statistics 
of shapes and textures. The issue is based upon the workshop with same 
title held September 2000 in Copenhagen, and is open for submission. 
Topics will include 
o Theory of statistical shape and texture models 
o Natural shapes and textures 
o Least committed models 
o Shape and texture coding or inference 
o Non-linear or non-Gaussian shape and texture variations 
o Independent component analysis of shapes and textures 
o Kendall's shape space 
o Statistics and scaling. 
Full papers must be submitted to JMIV no later than February 12, 2001, 
marked "Special issue on shapes and textures", and must follow the 
normal guidelines of submissions to JMIV (see http://www.wkap.nl). 
Papers will be subject to the normal JMIV review procedure.
