CALL FOR PAPERS
Sixth IEEE Workshop on Applications of Computer Vision
December 3-4, 2002, Orlando, FL USA

http://www.cs.ucf.edu/~vision/workshop/2002/applicationCompVision.html

In recent years, Computer Vision has become increasingly deployed in real
world systems for commercial, industry and military applications. In the
last few years, Computer Vision and related technologies have started
migrating from academic institutions to industrial laboratories, and
onward into deployable systems. The goal of this workshop is to bring
together international, academic, industrial, and government researchers
in order to provide a forum for presentation and discussion of various
applications of Computer Vision.

The workshop will provide a setting that will allow researchers in the
different applications areas to interact and interchange ideas, so that
applications are thoroughly understood and there is a transfer of concepts
from one application area to another.

The program will consist of high quality contributed papers and posters,
invited talks, panels and demonstrations covering applications of Computer
Vision and related technologies, that include, but are not limited to:

Industrial Inspection/Manufacturing

Biometrics: Faces/Fingerprints

Road/Traffic Analysis

3D modeling

Motion/Stereo processing/segmentation

Real-time Tracking

Graphics Recognition/Engineering Drawings

Classification/Recognition

Security/Surveillance/Human Motion

Document Analysis

Gesture/Face/Hand Recognition

Medical Analysis

Augmented Reality

Performance Evaluation

Human-Computer Interaction

Scientific Imaging Applications

Visual Navigation and Station Keeping

Robotics Applications

Image/Video Indexing and Retrieval

Motion Capture and Entertainment

Perception Aids for the Handicapped

Underwater ApplicationsIndustrial

There will also be a demonstration session at WACV2002, to highlight some
of the latest projects and state of the art applications.
