First Announcement and Call for Contributions
                        27th Workshop of the
             AUSTRIAN ASSOCIATION FOR PATTERN RECOGNITION (AAPR)

                        VISION IN A DYNAMIC WORLD
                             June 5-6, 2003

 SCOPE
   One image is worth a thousand words. Today this ancient proverb is
   especially appropriate and takes on a whole new meaning when
   considering an image sequence or a three-dimensional data sequence
   representing a transient process. Due to the available spatio-temporal
   information new dimensions open up in data interpretation, novel
   challenges arise in terms of the acquisition, storage, processing and
   visualization of the data.

   The scope of the conference is focused on vision algorithms and
   technologies dealing with real-world activities, interpreting the
   visual input and using the gathered information for decision-making
   and control.

   The event will be held in a historical setting of exceptional beauty
   at the Laxenburg Conference Center. The conference center is part of
   the imperial castle of Laxenburg, the summer residence of emperors
   once. It is the ideal meeting place where inspiring scientific
   thoughts and discussions will meet a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere
   and on many occasions you may even encounter images of the past.

   Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:
 	*	Panoramic Vision and Multiple View
 	*	Stereo, Motion and Tracking
 	*	Color and Physics-based Vision
 	*	View Registration and Interpolation
 	*	Sensor Calibration and Accuracy
 	*	Texture Analysis and Synthesis
 	*	Aerial Image Processing and Interpretation
 	*	Multi-resolution 3D Representations
 	*	Segmentation, Clustering and Restoration
 	*	High Resolution CCD and CMOS
 	*	Applications (Industrial, Remote Sensing, Entertainment, etc.)
