The International Workshop on Semantic Processing of Spatial Data will be
held November 4-5, 2003, at the Centre for Computing Research in Mexico
City. This workshop provides an opportunity for prominent specialists,
researchers, engineers and practitioners throughout the world to share
their latest research and applications  in Semantic Processing of Spatial
Data. GEOPRO 2003 will consist, but is not limited, of following main
topics:

     Automatic Interpretation of Raster-Scanned Cartographic Maps
     Automatic Map Generalization
     Automatic Geo-Image Interpretation
     Intelligent GIS Tools
     GIS Applications for Developed Countries
 

PROCEEDINGS

Prior to the workshop: e-Proceedings (CD) and "Research on Computing
Science" (hard copy/Editorial CIC-IPN) - both are with ISBN.

After the workshop: Selected papers will be published in a volume Lecture
Notes in Computer Science by Springer-Verlag.
 

GEOPRO 2003 will be held in conjunction with the following conferences:
