CONFERENCE FOCUS

The International Conference on Image  Processing (ICIP), sponsored by
the IEEE Signal  Processing  Society, is  the  premier forum   for the
presentation  of  technological advances  and  research results in the
fields  of  theoretical,  experimental, and   applied image  and video
processing.   ICIP-2003, the tenth in   the series that has been  held
annually  since 1994, will   bring   together leading  engineers   and
scientists  in image processing from around  the world. Papers will be

SOCIAL PROGRAM

In addition to the technical program, the organizing committee has put
together  a very attractive  social program. The welcome cocktail will
be offered   in the  Palau Reial   de Pedralbes  located close  to the
Conference venue, in a magnificent location surrounded by gardens. The
ICIP-2003 Banquet and Awards Ceremony  will take place in the Codorniu
cellars, which are located  Southwest of Barcelona  in Penedes, one of
the most  important wine-growing  areas  in Spain.  You will  have the
opportunity to  visit the underground  cellars and  to know  about the
wine  production  process before dinner. The   dinner itself will take
place in one   of the cellars where    the wine is  kept.  Catalan and
Spanish folklore entertainment will be included.
