CONFERENCE FOCUS
==================
Following the IST conference in Milan 2003, the first International Workshop
on Interactive Rich Media Content Production addresses the issues of
productivity and interactivity in digital content. The workshop is organized
by the Worlds Studio IST project, and is sponsored by the 3eme cycle romand,
IEEE-(MDSP-TC). and EURASIP. It is the premier forum for the presentation of
technological advances and research results in the fields of theoretical,
experimental, and applied rich media processing.
The RICHMEDIA2003 workshop will bring together leading engineers and
scientists in rich media content production from around the world.

PAPER SUBMISSION
================
Prospective authors are invited to submit electronically full papers of no
more than 5000 words that include results, figures, and references using the
on-line system at:
http://www.richmedia2003.org/
Submissions should be full paper 5000 words describing original work. All
manuscripts must be written in English. The first page of each paper should
contain: the title of the paper, the name(s) and affiliation of the
author(s) as well as the full address, e-mail, and phone number of the
corresponding author In addition, the first page should include a list of
keywords and main categories from the above list as well as a summary of up
to 100 words on the main achievements presented in the contribution and the
novelty of the work. Acceptable format is PDF (1200 DPi). Please use 11-pt
font size (preferably Times New Roman) and A4 paper format for your
submission

Final camera ready papers (max 5000 words)      10 June 2003

TUTORIALS, EXHIBITS AND SPECIAL SESSIONS PROPOSALS
========================================
Proposals for tutorials on topics related to Rich multimedia content
production, applications, Special Effects, Vision for Graphics are invited.
Each proposal must contain a description with a detailed course outline,
course objectives, target audience and prerequisites, course length and
brief presenters' biographical sketches and should be submitted to
submission@richmedia2003.org .
We also encourage the submission of proposals for special sessions on
related topics.  Each proposal for a special session should outline the
motivation, scope, brief organizers' biographical sketches, target audience,
and a list of possible contributors. Special sessions on closely related IST
projects are welcome as well. Proposals for special sessions should be
submitted to
submission@richmedia2003.org.

CONFERENCE VENUE
================
The RichMedia2003 will be held in the Ecole Polytechnique Federal de
Lausanne in Lausanne, Switzerland. This city is one of the most attractive
destinations in Europe both for its environment (Leman Lake, Alps) and its
cultural life.

BEST PAPERS
========================
RichMedia2003 is pleased to announce that the best papers will be selected
in a Special Issue of the Journal of Visualization & Computer Animation.
