Announcement and First Call For Papers:

Image and Vision Computing New Zealand 2004
  Akaroa, South Island, New Zealand
- November 21st to 23rd 2004 -

IVCNZ is New Zealand's premier conference for innovations in computer vision
and image processing. Held annually, it attracts an international forum of
scientists and researchers from over a dozen countries. IVCNZ has expanded
its horizons since its inception in 1986 and covers all aspects of image
processing, computer vision, visualisation, and applications.

This year, for a change of scenery, the conference is to be held in the
holiday resort of Akaroa on Banks Peninsula, about an hour's drive from
Christchurch. In order to make it possible to start the technical part of
the conference on Monday morning we encourage participants to arrive in
Christchurch by Sunday afternoon, at which time transport to Akaroa will be
provided to allow participants to attend the opening session on Sunday
evening. Accommodation ranging from luxury suites and hotels to
camping-ground cabins is available in Akaroa and will be made available via
the conference website.

We invite you to take part in the conference by submitting a technical paper
or poster. Papers are invited from all areas of image processing, computer
 vision, and computer graphics.
