Call for Papers - LAVS 04 - Submission Deadline Extended to 20th May 2004

The International Workshop on Learning for Adaptable Visual Systems
(LAVS 2004 http://www.xrce.xerox.com/icpr04/lavs04.htm ) will be held on
August 22, 2004 in the city of Cambridge, UK, in conjunction with ICPR
 2004.

This workshop relates to recent progress on machine learning algorithms
applied to vision and imaging problems. On the technical side we
particularly encourage submissions relating to generic methods for
handling fundamental issues of visual categorization, event
interpretation, cognitive loops, cross-media indexing and categorization
involving image analysis. We also invite submissions relating to new
practical applications that these technologies enable such as multimedia
database indexing, highly automated image restoration techniques,
surveillance, as well as innovative mobile and wearable imaging
 services.
