the 7th International Conference "Pattern Recognition and
Image Analysis: New Information Technologies" (PRIA-7-2004).

PRIA-7-2004 continues the series of conferences "Pattern Recognition
and Image Analysis: New Information Technologies". It will include the
conference itself, tutorials, exhibition of image analysis and pattern
recognition software and hardware products, International Symposium
"TV: Image Transmission and Processing", meeting of IAPR Technical
Committee 16 "Algebraic and Discrete Mathematical Techniques in
Pattern Recognition and Image Analysis", social program.

INSTRUCTION FOR AUTHORS
Before the submission deadline, please, send your Registration Form to
the Conference Secretariat, Moscow (pria2004@ccas.ru). Guidelines for
authors and examples of the style can be found at the conference site.
Maximum paper length is 4 pages A4 (including figures and tables).

VISAS
All participants (except Russian and FUSSR citizens) need visa to
enter Russian Federation. PRIA-7-2004 organizers will provide
necessary support for visa application.

PROCEEDINGS
Two versions of PRIA-7-2004 Proceedings will be published (in
English):
1) before conference - extended abstracts;
2) after conference - special issues of the international
   journal "Pattern Recognition and Image Analysis"
   (MAIK "Nauka/Interperiodica" Publishing, Moscow):
      a) extended abstracts: 2005, Vol. 15, No. 1;
      b) full texts of papers: 2005, Vol. 15, No. 2.

ST.-PETERSBURG
St.-Petersburg is called the cultural capital of Russia. There are
over hundred museums in the city, including famous Hermitage and
Russian Museum with their invaluable collections; lots of musical and
theatre festivals and exhibitions are held.
