Special Journal Issue on "Soft Computing in Image Processing - Techniques and Systems": Call for Papers ========================================================= SUBMISSION DEADLINE: June 1, 2004. The International Journal of Signal Processing, (IJSP) is planning to publish a special issue on "Soft Computing in Image Processing: Techniques & Systems". We invite the submission of full length and short correspondence papers that will detail the state-of-the-art and trends in soft computing in image processing. Topics include but are not limited to: - Soft computing algorithms for denoising and restoration - Soft computing techniques for pattern recognition - Soft computing algorithms for digital image processing, coding and encryption - Soft computing in computer vision - Soft computing algorithms for video content-based indexing and retrieval - Soft multimedia data analysis and visualization: texture, color, content, etc. - Decision fusing with fuzzy logic - Soft-Computing algorithms for watermarking - Fuzzy wavelets - Fuzzy mathematical morphology - Applications, e.g. in visual surveillance, face recognition, medical imaging, ... This special issue will gather the latest research and development of soft computing in image processing and address the most current issues and challenges.
