The United Institute of Informatics Problems of
The National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (UIIP NASB)
organize the International Conference on
Advanced Information and Telemedicine Technologies for Health ^Ö AITTH^Ò2005,
which will be held in Minsk (Belarus) on November 8-10, 2005.

CONFERENCE OBJECTIVES

   Discussion of fundamental problems for medicine computerization
   based on advanced information technologies and questions of intellectual
   systems creation for the diagnosis making support in public health services.

   Generalization of research results, exchange of experience and coordination
   of works on development and introduction of telemedicine systems.


CONFERENCE TOPICS

Medical Informatics:

*  Medical image and signal processing.
*  Mathematical modelling pathological processes, expert and
   intellectual medical diagnostic systems, knowledge bases.
*  Hemorheology, microcirculation and advanced computer technologies.
*  Medical information analytical and geographical systems.
*  Computer technologies and algorithms of functional diagnostics and
   disease forecast, choice of standardization criteria for medical procedures,
   estimation of disease distribution risk.
*  Medical information analytical and geographical systems.
*  Hospital and radiological information systems (HIS/RIS).
*  Creation of medical databases and registers, information technologies for medical
   statistics, systems for screening and monitoring of population health.

Telemedicine Technologies:

*  TeleDiagnosis and patient web-sites.
*  Telemedicine oncology, cardiology and gastroenterology.
*  TeleEducation in medicine and training simulators.
*  Virtual hospital concept, virtual medical instruments, virtual "Doctor" and "Patient".
*  Quality of health information on the Internet and its impact in patient care and follow-up.
*  Use of Internet in health management and administration.
*  Use of Internet in multicentre medical research.
*  Personal data confidentiality and medical information protection.
*  Standardization and certification of medical information technologies.


SPECIAL ISTC SESSION

There will be a special ISTC plenary session for presentation of the projects:

*  Development and Creation of Computer Analyser of Images for Cytologic Differential
   Diagnosis of Thyroid Diseases.
*  Telemedicine System for Image Analysis and Consultation in Radiation Induced Thyroid Cancer.
*  Development of the Computer-Based System for Prognostic Risk Factors Analysis to Select
   Adequate Therapy of Childhood Acute Leukemias.
*  Development and Demonstration of the Methodology and Information Technology for Making the
   Diagnosis of Childhood Cancer on the Basis of the Visualized Findings of the Primary Diagnostic Complex.
*  Development of Risk Estimation Technology for Ischemic Heart Disease and Essential
   Hypertension Based on Creating a Non-Invasive Automated Diagnostics Complex of a Microcirculation State, etc.


IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Participation is free of charge.
Participants are provided with a package of information materials, equipment and meal.
It is supposed, that for CIS plenary session speakers the hotel accommodation will be paid
and expenses for railway tickets will be compensated.
