CALL FOR PAPERS FRACTALS IN ENGINEERING V June 22-24 2005, Tours, France http://FE05.inria.fr OBJECTIVES The goal of the conference is to bring together researchers working in all areas of fractal analysis. The scope encompasses recent theoretical advances as well as industrial applications. The previous symposia (June 3-5, 1992, and June 1-4, 1994, in Montreal, Canada, June 25-27, 1997 in Arcachon, France, June 14-16 1999 in Delft, The Netherlands) were most successful in stimulating relations between the academic and private sectors. We hope to renew this experience with this fifth issue to be held in Tours, France. SCOPE Topics to be covered include, but are not limited to : THEORETICAL ASPECTS : - Dimension theory - Multifractal Analysis - IFS theory - Harmonic Analysis on Fractals - Dynamical systems - Wavelet and Fractals - Fractal Stochastic Processes APPLICATIONS : - Signal Processing - Image Processing - Fractals in Finance - Fractal-Wave Interactions - Fractals in Telecommunications - Processes on Fractal Surfaces - Mechanical Aspect of Fractals - Fractals and Artificial Evolution CALL FOR COMMUNICATIONS Full papers (maximum 15 pages) should be submitted electronically in post-script or pdf format. Visit the conference web site (fractales.inria.fr/FE05) for updated information about LaTex styles and other technical details. Papers may be accepted either for oral presentation (30 min.) or to be part of poster sessions. PROCEEDINGS All accepted papers (oral and poster presentation) will be included in the FE05 conference proceedings. A selection of extended papers (additional review process) will be published in a Springer Verlag book. Both the proceedings and the book will be available at the conference.
