GbR'2005 SECOND CALL FOR PAPER 5th IAPR-TC15 Workshop on Graph based representations for pattern recognition April 11-13, 2005 POITIERS - FRANCE http://www.greyc.ismra.fr/gbr/ (do not forget the ending /) ______________________________________________________________________ IMPORTANT DATES : Deadline for paper submission: October 1, 2004 Notification of acceptance: November 18, 2004 Deadline for camera ready version: December 16, 2004 CONTACT : gbr@leri.univ-reims.fr or luc.brun@greyc.ismra.fr ______________________________________________________________________ GbR is a biennial workshop organized by the technical committee 15 of the IAPR, aimed at encouraging research works in Pattern Recognition and Image Analysis within the graph theory framework. GbR 2005 will provide a forum for presenting and discussing research results and applications in the intersection of pattern recognition and image analysis on one side and graph theory on the other side. The workshop will be organized conjointly with the international Conference on Discrete Geometry and Computer Imagery (DGCI) with a common session on the 13th of April. Several invited speakers will also present the state of the art in research fields concerned with the conference topics. ______________________________________________________________________ CONFERENCE TOPICS : Original and unpublished papers are welcome, concerning theory and applications on: * graph based clustering, * graph matching, * graph based image segmentation, * irregular (graph) pyramids, * graph representation of shapes, * graph abstraction, * graphs vs rigid structures (quadtrees, pyramids), * graph transformations, * data mining with graphs. ______________________________________________________________________ SUBMISSION OF PAPERS : Prospective contributors are encouraged to submit papers and to attend GbR 2005. Each paper will be reviewed by at least two reviewers. Accepted papers will be included in the proceedings volume, published by Springer-Verlag in the series Lecture Notes in Computer Science. The authors of the best papers will be invited to submit an extended version of their article in a special issue of Pattern Recognition journal . ______________________________________________________________________ Full details of the conference can be found on our website at http://www.greyc.ismra.fr/gbr/ Please pass on this email to any colleagues who may be interested. We look forward to welcoming you to Poitiers for GbR 2005.
