CALL FOR PAPERS 1st ACM SIGMM Workshop on Mobile Video In conjunction with ACM Multimedia 2007 September 28, 2007, University of Augsburg, Germany Mobile video is one of the key enabling technologies pushing the development and usage of current and future mobile wireless networks. With applications as diverse as conversational services, mobile TV and video-on-demand, video gaming, and surveillance, mobile video presents some major research and business opportunities with great potential to enrich society and to support the needs of our increasingly mobile daily life. This workshop strives to provide a platform for the presentation and discussion of high-quality research results that have the impact to advance and shape the success story of mobile video. The technical program of the 1st ACM SIGMM Workshop on Mobile Video will consist of invited talks, oral presentations, and poster sessions. The one-day workshop is single track. Submissions of high quality survey/tutorial papers or manuscripts describing original and previously unpublished work are invited. Topics for submission include but are not limited to: - mobile video broadcast and multicast - video signal processing and coding for mobile video - scalable and multiple description video coding and transmission - error-resilience and concealment - joint source channel coding - cross-layer optimization for mobile video - distributed video coding - visual ad hoc and sensor networks - wireless video gaming - video quality assessment for mobile video - watermarking, encryption, and authentication for mobile video - wireless video surveillance - video content adaptation for mobile access - video database search and display for mobile devices Prospective authors are invited to submit papers of no more than six (6) pages including results, figures and references before *June 01, 2007*.
