The conference is endorsed by International Association for Pattern Recognition (IAPR). CAIP2007 is the twelfth in a series of biennial international conferences devoted to all aspects of Computer Vision, Image Analysis and Processing, Pattern Recognition and related fields. The scientific program of the conference will consist of keynote addresses, contributed papers presented in a single track, and posters. The proceedings of the conference will be published by SPRINGER VERLAG in the series "Lecture Notes on Computer Science. It will be hosted by the Vienna University of Technology and organized by the Pattern Recognition and Image Processing (PRIP) Group. TOPICS OF INTERESTS =================== Topics include, but are not limited to: - Image analysis - Biometrics - Computer vision - 3D vision - Pattern recognition - Object recognition - Segmentation and grouping - Medical imaging - Motion analysis - Augmented reality - Graph-based methods - Image and video compression - Model-based vision approaches - Image and video indexing and database retrieval - Shape representation and analysis - Model-based object tracking in image sequences - Industrial applications - Computer vision applications in cultural heritage PAPER SUBMISSION ================ Prospective authors are invited to contribute to the conference by electronically submitting a full paper in English of no more than 8 pages including illustrations, results and references (submissions can be made at http://www.prip.tuwien.ac.at/caip07/submission_for_review.php). Therefore, submissions should be in postscript or pdf, formatted in accordance with the lncs guidelines by Springer (see http://www.springeronline.com). In addition to the manuscript, the submission should include a summary page with title, authors' names, affiliation and address, telephone, fax and e-mail, up to three keywords and answers to the following questions (please answer each separately): 1. What is the original contribution of this work? 2. Why should this contribution be considered important? 3. What is the most closely related work by others and how does this work differ? 4. How can other researchers make use of the results of this work? 5. Has this work been presented/submitted elsewhere? 6. Which form of presentation is preferred: Oral or Poster? WORKSHOP PROPOSALS ================== CAIP 2007 provides the option to hold workshops on additional topics. Workshops will be held on Sunday, August 26th, 2007 and Thursday, August 30th, 2007. Proposals for workshops must include a title, an outline of the workshop and its motivation, contact information for the organizer, and a short description of the material to be covered.
