======================================================================== Electronic Letters on Computer Vision and Image Analysis (ELCVIA) SPECIAL ISSUE CALL FOR PAPERS COMPUTATIONAL MODELLING OF OBJECTS REPRESENTED IN IMAGES – CompIMAGE.o ======================================================================== The Electronic Letters on Computer Vision and Image Analysis (ELCVIA) has scheduled a special issue on Computational Modelling of Objects Represented in Images, which is related to the International Symposium CompIMAGE (www.fe.up.pt/CompIMAGE) that was held in Coimbra, Portugal, on 20-21 October 2006. Therefore, the issue can be considered as the continuation of a comprehensive forum for the discussion on the current state-of-the-art in fields related with modelling of objects in images as, for instance, Image Segmentation, 3D Reconstruction, Tracking and Motion Analysis, Computational Simulation, Medical Imaging, Computational Bioimaging and Visualization. In order to have an issue with high quality contributions, we are also inviting premium researchers to submit their works on the involved domains. Moreover, authors are encouraged to enhance their papers trough the usage of multimedia contents (images, videos, presentations, etc.) according to the ELCVIA publishing policy. Examples of possible topics are the followings (but not limited to): - Computational Vision - Image Processing - Tracking and Analysis of Movement - Simulation and Modelling - Image Acquisition - 3D Shape Reconstruction - Objects Segmentation - Objects Matching - Data Interpolation, Registration and Compression - Mesh Generation and Processing - Rapid Prototyping from Image - Medical Imaging - Telemedicine - Virtual Reality - Computer Aided Diagnosis, Surgery, Therapy, and Treatment - Computational Bioimaging and Visualization - Software Development The schedule preview for this special issue is the following: - Call for papers: 15th May 2007 - Papers due: 1st October 2007 - Publication of special issue: 1st December 2007 We are looking forward to hearing from you, João Manuel R. S. Tavares Renato Natal Jorge Guest Editors (Faculty of Engineering of University of Porto – Portugal) For inquiries o submission of papers: elcvia@cvc.uab.es Subject: Special Issue on CompImage
