IMVIP 2007 CALL FOR PAPERS - www.cs.nuim.ie/imvip2007 Overview ======== IMVIP 2007 - The International Machine Vision and Image Processing Conference, will take place from the 5th to the 7th of September 2007 at the National University of Ireland Maynooth. IMVIP 2007 is the main conference of the Irish Pattern Recognition and Classification Society (IPRCS), a member body of the International Association for Pattern Recognition (IAPR). The conference brings together theoreticians and practitioners, industrialists and academics, from the numerous related disciplines involved in the processing and analysis of image-based information. Scope ===== IMVIP 2007 is a single-track conference consisting of high quality previously unpublished contributed papers. The conference emphasises both theoretical research results and practical engineering experience in all areas. Full papers will be subject to a double-blind review process by the Programme Committee. In addition to the contributed programme, there will also be talks by invited speakers. Contributions are sought in all aspects of image processing, pattern analysis and machine vision, including but not restricted to the following topics: * Data Clustering and Texture Analysis * Image & Video Representation, Compression and Coding * Medical and Biomedical Imaging * Active Vision, Tracking and Motion Analysis * Object and Event Recognition * Face and Gesture Recognition * 2D, 3D Scene Analysis and Visualisation * Image Processing in Forensic Science * Image/Shape Representation and Recovery * Visually Guided Robot Manipulation and Navigation * Applications, Architectures and Systems Integration Proceedings =========== All accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings and will be archived electronically through the IEEE Computer Science Digital Library (CSDL) and IEEE-Xplore. The proceedings will also be indexed through IEE INSPEC, EI (Compendex), and SCI (ISI). Important Dates =============== Final date for electronic submission of full papers: q4th April, 2007. Notification of paper acceptance: 10th May, 2007. Camera ready paper submission: 8th June, 2007. Conference dates: 5th - 7th September, 2007. Instructions for Authors ======================== Instructions and templates for the submission of electronic papers can be found at the conference web site: http://www.cs.nuim.ie/imvip2007/ Submission of a paper to the conference implies that, upon acceptance of the submission, at least one of the authors will register for the Conference and present the paper.
