Kung, IEEE Fellow Call For Paper Special Issue on Biomedical Imaging Guest Editors: Feng Lin and Malini Olivo Description The key subject areas of interest to the journal range from design and analysis of signal processing algorithms to special purpose signal processor architectures (including parallel and pipelined signal processors). The goal of this special issue is to present original research and critical review on high-performance software and hardware technologies for medical and biological imaging tasks, along with the data processing in all imaging modalities for molecular, cellular, anatomical and functional imaging. Research topics include (but not limited to) image acquisition, registration, reconstruction, multimodality methods, noise removal, segmentation, pattern analysis and feature detection, model and atlas-based imaging, image-guided intervention, computer-aided diagnosis and therapy.
