A special session of Applied Computational Intelligence in Biometrics
will provide an interdisciplinary forum for research scientists,
military experts, and students from around the world to discuss the
latest advances in the field of Computational Intelligence and its
application to real world problems in Biometrics. Computational
Intelligence includes neural networks, fuzzy logic, evolutionary
algorithms, swarm intelligence, and other emerging learning or
optimization techniques. Topics of interest include but are not
limited to:

    * Biometric algorithms, techniques and systems
    * Signal and image processing for biometric data
    * Biometric applications for security and defense
    * Biometric documents (RFID, ePassort, etc.)
    * Liveness test and spoofing countermeasures.
    * Multiple biometrics, multi-modal biometrics and intelligent data fusion
    * Human factors, privacy issues, and protection of the biometric templates
    * Mobile biometric devices and embedded biometric systems
    * Biometric conformance and interoperability testing/evaluation
