========================================================== Call for Papers 7th IAPR-TC15 Workshop on Graph-based Representations -- GbR 2009 Venue: Venice, Italy Workshop dates: 26-28 May 2009 Organizers/Chairs Andrea Torsello, University of Venice (Italy) Francisco Escolano, University of Alicante (Spain) Luc Brun, GREYC ENSICAEN (France) GbR is a biennial workshop organized by the technical committee 15 of the IAPR (http://www.greyc.ensicaen.fr/iapr-tc15/), aimed at encouraging research works in Pattern Recognition and Image Analysis within the graph theory framework. GbR 2009 will provide a forum for presenting and discussing research results and applications in the intersection of pattern recognition and image analysis on one side, and graph theory on the other side. Several invited speakers will present the state of the art in research fields concerned with the conference topics. Papers are welcome, describing original and unpublished work about the topics concerning, but not limited to: - graph matching, - graph based image segmentation, - irregular (graph) pyramids, - graph representation of shapes, - graph learning and clustering, - graphs vs rigid structures (quadtrees, pyramids), - graph transformations, - data mining with graphs, - belief-propagation methods, - graph-cuts methods, - graphs in constellation models, - graphs in computational chemistry and bioinformatics. Electronic submission is requested. The manuscript (not longer than 10 pages, formatted according to the LNCS instructions), should be send to the scientific secretaria. Prospective contributors are encouraged to submit papers and to attend GbR2009. Each paper will be reviewed by at least two members of the program committee. Accepted papers will be included in the proceedings of the workshop published in the LNCS series of Springer. Authors of best papers will be encouraged to submit a revised version to a forthcoming special issue on graph based representations of the Computer Vision and Image Understanding journal.
