CALL FOR PAPERS 2009 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing (ICASSP 2009) April 19 - 24, 2009 Taipei, Taiwan http://icassp09.com ** Special Session and Tutorial Proposals Due August 4, 2008 ** The 34th International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing (ICASSP) will be held at the Taipei International Convention Center in Taipei, Taiwan, April 19 - 24, 2009. The ICASSP meeting is the world’s largest and most comprehensive technical conference focused on signal processing and its applications. The conference will feature world-class speakers, tutorials, exhibits, and over 50 lecture and poster sessions on: Taiwan: The Ideal Travel Destination. Taiwan, also referred to as Formosa – the Portuguese word for "graceful" – is situated on the western edge of the Pacific Ocean off the southeastern coast of mainland Asia, across the Taiwan Strait from Mainland China.
