----- Call for ICCV2009 Tutorials ICCV2009 invites experts to present tutorials which will take place on September 27 and 28, 2009, at Kyoto University. Tutorials are usually half-day with the option of full day courses for wider scope topics. They aim to address a specific topic in computer vision and are supposed to provide a comprehensive overview of the topic. The audience is mostly graduate students and young researchers from academia and/or industry. The topic should be of sufficient relevance with respect to the state of the art and the course should rather be educating and/or promoting than just a survey of techniques. The proposal should include: - Title - Proposer's name, address, email, and short bio-sketch - A course description in syllabus like form - Names of other lecturers and short bio-sketches - Relevant publications of the proposer(s) with respect to the topic - Length of course (half day/full day) - Estimated attendance - Whether PDF slides will be available for inclusion in the DVD - Whether there will be a web page about the short course including slides. Proposals should be submitted in text form by email to the tutorial chairs, Peter Sturm (Peter.Sturm@inrialpes.fr) and Akihiro Sugimoto (sugimoto@nii.ac.jp). Deadline for tutorial proposals: April 20, 2009. ICCV2009 Tutorial Chairs Peter Sturm and Akihiro Sugimoto
