--------------------------- Call for Workshops ICME 2009 The 10th IEEE International Conference on Multimedia and Expo (ICME) http://www.icme09.org June 28 - July 3, 2009, Cancun, Mexico --------------------------------------------- Workshops of full day duration will be held on either Sunday June 28th or Friday July 3rd, 2009 in conjunction with the ICME 2009 (www.icme09.org) main conference. Two-day workshops are also possible to be held on June 28th-29th, 2009. The purpose of these workshops is to provide a comprehensive forum for topics which may not be fully explored during the main conference, allowing for detailed discussions on technical, practical and application issues. Workshops should be used to address specialized emerging topics and new areas in multimedia research, and to build a critical mass of researchers around these. Workshop proceedings will be published in conjunction with the main conference proceedings. ICME2009 strongly welcomes researchers, developers, and practitioners to organize such workshops. Proposers must supply justification for the relevance and viability of intended workshops to allow competitive selection. Specifically, the proposal should include: - Names, Affiliations and Bios of Workshop Proposers - Motivation - including Uniqueness and Timeliness as well as Relevance to ICME - Draft call for papers - Proposed Schedule for Paper Submission, Acceptance and Final Manuscript Submission - Estimated Participation - in terms of research/industry mix, potential submission/aceptance number etc. All proposals are due November 10, 2008 and should be mailed to Deepak S.
