(We voted last year to extend the process to voting 3 years out to allow more time for resolving hotel contracts). For the site selection, For 2011, the bid should be for a "Central" location and for 2012 it should be East Coast. For your "bid" your team needs to put together a powerpoint presentation and specify which year and provide the following: Program Team with a minimum of the General and Program Chairs Any plans for changes from the standard format of CVPR, or planned changes in expected Acceptance policies/rates. Hotel Information including: Meeting Room Layouts (suitable for 1400 people) as well as how many workshop it can accommodate Sleeping Room Costs Meeting Space Costs (if any) Approximate costs for 3 days of morning and afternoon coffee breaks for 1000 people Approximate cost for a Reception for 1000 people Approximate cost for a banquet for 1000 people If you are using a meeting planning company what is the cost and how is that being paid. City Information with example airfare costs from major US and 2-3 EU and Pacific cities. If you are putting together a team/location for the Bid please let me know ASAP (and if you have questions feel free to ask via email) so I can plan accordingly and ensure we have proper bids.
