IBM Research is pleased to announce the Sixth Annual "Emerging Leaders
in Multimedia and Signal Processing" Workshop, to be held at the IBM
T. J. Watson Research Center on October 14-15, 2010. This annual
workshop, held since 2005, invites top Ph.D. students in various areas
of Multimedia and Signal Processing. The main goals of this workshop
are to foster exchange and collaboration with outstanding students ,
and enhance mutual awareness between university and IBM
researchers. Students will be invited to present their research at the
workshop, and will have the opportunity to meet researchers and learn
about a variety of research activities at IBM. Limited fellowship will
be provided to cover part of the travel expense.

We cordially invite participation from top PhD students in Multimedia!

30th, 2010*.  The initial selection will be based on your research CV,
along with a short research statement stating your past research and
future vision. Reference letter will be solicited at a later date for
shortlisted candidates.

Selection will be based on merit and has been very competitive in the
past. We anticipate inviting a total of 8-10 students worldwide, and
announcing the result by early September.
