THE EVENT IWSSIP'10 is an International Conference on theoretical,
experimental and applied signal and image processing techniques and
systems. It brings together researchers and developers from both
academia and industry to report on the latest scientific and
theoretical advances, to discuss and debate major issues and to
demonstrate state-of-the-art systems. IWSSIP'10 follows the successful
events held in Budapest, Manchester, Poznan, Zagreb, Bratislava,
Maribor, Bucharest, Prague and Chalkida (Greece). In some of the
previous cities, the conference has been held more than once. The 2010
conference will take place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from the 17th to
