EIBIR Summer School on Imaging in Neurology August 21-26 2011, Dubrovnik, Croatia Venue: Center for Advanced Academic Studies (CAAS) The EIBIR Summer School on Imaging in Neurology is a multi-disciplinary summer school, uniting about 50 young researchers coming from a variety of backgrounds. The high scientific level and the relaxed atmosphere invite a close and fruitful interaction between everybody present, both participants and staff. TOPICS: Imaging modalities (MR, PET, CT), quantitative image analysis, (open-source) tools for image analysis, neuro- and population imaging and image analysis in clinical practice, validation and open- source databases, atlases, applications in the clinic, small animals and clinical trials. We therefore assume that participants have a basic understanding of biomedical imaging, both in terms of acquisition and image analysis and interpretation. Registration deadline is 25 March, 2011. Decisions on the granted applications will be made available to the selected candidates by mid April 2011. Payment of the registration fees will have to be made effective before 1 May 2011. WHAT ARE THE COSTS INVOLVED? Participation fees for the school are EUR 750.- for accommodation in twin rooms and EUR 820.- for accommodation in a single room. The participation fee includes attendance of the course programme, full board accommodation and all social activities. TERMS OF CANCELLATION: The minimum number of participants for the course to take place is 40. EIBIR reserves the right to cancel the course until April 30, 2011, if less than 40 students have registered. Participation fees will be fully refunded in case of cancellation by EIBIR. Participants can cancel free of charge until April 28, 2011. After that no refund will be made for cancellations.
