====================== CALL FOR PARTICIPATION ====================== IEEE International Symposium on Multimedia (ISM2011) Laguna Cliffs Marriott Resort & Spa Dana Point, California USA December 5-7, 2011 Sponsored by IEEE Computer Society and IEEE Technical Committee on Multimedia Computing http://ism.eecs.uci.edu/ The IEEE International Symposium on Multimedia (SM2011) is an international forum for researchers to exchange information regarding advances in the state of the art and practice of multimedia computing, as well as to identify the emerging research topics and define the future of multimedia computing. This year, the conference counted 87 main conference submissions from 27 countries and 24 papers were accepted as full length regular papers. This represents the top 27.6% papers. In addition, the conference also features high-quality short papers, two invited keynotes and two topical challenge talks by leading researchers, invited papers, as well as articles from six workshops, the demo program, and the industrial program. All of these papers provide novel ideas, new results, and state-of-the-art techniques in the field. Altogether, we are proud to be able to present to you a rich program that contains a variety of highly competitive research in a growing field.
