It will present the most recent and exciting contributions in machine learning for signal processing through keynote talks as well as special and regular single-track sessions. CONFERENCE TOPICS: Machine learning in signal processing 2011 is concerned with all aspects of machine learning for signal prrocessing including, but not limited to: Algorithms & Architectures: Machine learning and statistical signal processing; typical approaches and modern implementations of supervised, unsupervised, reinforcement and semi-supervised learning, probabilistic modeling and kernel methods; artificial neural networks, advanced (adaptive, nonlinear) signal processing. Applications: Speech processing, image processing (computervision), pattern recognition, medical imaging, multimodal interactions, intelligent multimedia and webprocessing, robotics, sonar and radar, biomedical engineering, timeseries prediction, blind source separation, data fusion and mining. Implementations: Parallel and distributed implementations, hardware design and implementations for real-time processing requirements. DATA COMPETITION: A data and signal analysis competition related to face recognition is being organized. Winners will present their works and receive their award during the Workshop.
