The fifth Pacific-Rim Symposium on Image and Video Technology (PSIVT)
will be held in Gwangju, Korea on November 20-23, 2011. PSIVT, an
annual international symposium for image and video technology,
provides a forum for researchers, artists, developers, educators,
performers, and practitioners in the Pacific Rim and around the world
to present the latest development in theories and practices as well as
artistic and consumer innovations of image and video technology.

The proceedings will be published by Springer-Verlag in the Lecture
Note in Computer Science (LNCS) series. All submissions will be
subject to a double-blind review process.

Important Dates:

Paper submission deadline: June 30, 2011
Notification of acceptance: August 15, 2011
Conference: November 20-23, 2011

Research Topics include but are not limited to:

 - Image/Video Coding and Transmission;
 - Image/Video Processing and Analysis;
 - Biometrics and Image Forensics;
 - Imaging and Graphics Hardware and Visualization;
 - Image/Video Retrieval and Scene Understanding;
 - Biomedical Image Processing and Analysis;
